The artisans set off on a biographical detective hunt: with a puppet and a whole bunch of objects, they tell the story of the eventful life of the Swedish author, who not only wrote outstanding children’s literature, but was also an attentive observer of her times and who committed herself to achieving an equal coexistence between children and adults through more than just her famous Peace Prize of the German Book Trade speech. The evening sheds some light on the life of a woman who was politically engaged until very old age, fought for the rights of children and animals and called upon us to encounter the world with curiosity and courage. Her message remains: “Reason must be rediscovered in order to create a better world.” Notes on accessibility: Information about the accessibility of the venue in structural terms can be found here.
