“And Berlin was Sodom and Gomorrah,” wrote Bertolt Brecht in 1928 about what was then the world’s third-largest metropolis. Berlin has remained that way to this day—a sleepless refuge for countless drifters in search of adventure.

A unique journey through time

The journey through time begins at Luna Park in the 1920s and ends at Berlin’s Berghain club today. From swing to the Love Parade, from Marlene Dietrich to Seeed: “Berlin, Du coole Sau” builds a musical bridge from the golden era to the sparkling present of this unique city.

A Charming Travel Companion

The story is experienced through the eyes of a Berlin restroom attendant: Adele—played by the quintessential Berliner Ades Zabel—tells the story of Berlin’s legendary nightlife, beginning in the 1920s and continuing into the 2020s. With her finger always on the pulse of the times and her signature Berlin sass, she recounts the metropolis’s highs and lows—from the construction of the Wall to its fall—and the trash and glamour of that special blend that makes Berlin so unique.

After more than 60 acclaimed shows in Berlin and guest performances at various festivals, *Berlin, Du coole Sau* is finally embarking on a major tour of Germany.The Capital Dance Orchestra, together with its wonderful singers Sharon Brauner (writer & director) and Meta Hüper (musical director), presents a spectacular evening of music, wit, burlesque dance—and Ades Zabel.

The long-overdue musical tribute to a one-of-a-kind city. A must-see for all Berlin lovers!
