Rami Kleinstein has been one of the defining voices of Israeli pop music since the 1980s. Born in New York and raised in Israel, the pianist took piano lessons from Daniel Barenboim’s parents. Today, he combines classical technique with emotional directness. His songs—carried by piano and voice—tell of love, loss, and hope.

He gained widespread recognition through his collaboration with singer Rita Farouz. Since 1986, Kleinstein has released numerous albums—all with Hebrew lyrics. Many of his more recent songs feel more personal and contemplative and are, in part, shaped by his processing of the events following October 7, 2023.
