It’s no coincidence that James Hatcher and Andy Clutterbuck, with their project Honne, are described as “electro-romantics” or “avant-gardists” of electro-soul-pop. With intricate beats, atmospheric soundscapes, and electronic sounds that bridge 1960s soul and 1980s synth-pop, the duo from East London has enjoyed worldwide success over the past twelve years. However, their music thrives not only on its electronic sounds and Clutterbuck’s voice, but also on diverse collaborations that add further vocal layers to their songs. What also sets HONNE apart is the variety with which they reimagine their music. Whether in stripped-down live sessions, elaborate remixes, with various guest artists, or as fully produced tracks—HONNE’s sound is never one-dimensional or fixed. This is also why they have reimagined music by artists such as SG Lewis, Tom Odell, Kehlani, George Ezra, Jacob Collier, and others through remixes, drawing global attention to their producing skills. In 2026, the duo will celebrate their tenth anniversary and will perform at Berlin’s Säälchen and Cologne’s Stadthalle as part of their 10-Year Anniversary Tour in October. With British singer BEKA as the opening act, they’ll be joined by a longtime collaborator.
