Bullet For My Valentine werden ihr neues Album Social Apocalypse am 19. März 2027 über Spinefarm veröffentlichen. Die Ankündigung erfolgt zusammen mit einer wuchtigen neuen Single gleichen Namens. ‘Social Apocalypse’ ist der erste neue Song der Band seit vier Jahren. Im Titeltrack wettert Matt Tuck gegen “the end of the world as we know it”, in einer Zeit, in der “all hope has faded”.

Thematisch verbindet Social Apocalypse die schonungslose lyrische Selbstreflexion von Menschen, die von der modernen Welt gezeichnet und zermürbt wurden, mit einem unvoreingenommenen Blick auf einen Planeten, der bei jeder Wendung mehr und mehr aus den Fugen zu geraten scheint. “Everything in life is changing at such a rapid pace, and it is hard to find a great deal of positivity when you look at events in the world,” sagt Tuck. “People are being pitted against each other. The world is full of conflict instead of unity. As a father, I look at what the world is like for younger people, and how completely different it is now.”

Erneut arbeitete die Band mit Produzent Carl Bown zusammen – einem Veteranen von vier Bullet Alben, der zudem mit Sleep Token, While She Sleeps, Malevolence und weiteren Bands gearbeitet hat. Jeder neue Albumtrack wurde akribisch geprüft, ausgearbeitet und bis zu seiner makellosen endgültigen Form perfektioniert. “Carl doesn’t let you settle,” erklärt Tuck. “He is always ready to speak up, push and challenge you to be the best version of you.”

Auf Social Apocalypse gibt es zwei Kollaborationen – eine Seltenheit für Bullet For My Valentine, die dem Album eine spannende neue Dynamik verleihen. Chrissy Costanza, Sängerin von Against The Current, ist als Duettpartnerin beim Song „In The Absence Of You“ zu hören. Für einen Gänsehaut-Moment sorgt außerdem Will Ramos von Lorna Shore mit seinem markanten Gesang bei „I Don’t Trust Tomorrow“.
