Cherilyn Sarkisian vowed to become famous while still on a tricycle. With Sonny at her side, the young Cher lands her first number 1 hit and makes the leap into television, but the relationship ends in a public divorce war that dominates all the front pages. Cher then embarks on a solo career and, at the height of this, whirls up Hollywood, where she is initially ridiculed - and eventually wins an Oscar.
