With plow, anvil and chain mail: At Whitsun, the Düppel Museum Village is transformed into a place of living history.
For three days, members of the Förderverein Museumsdorf Düppel e.V. and traveling craftsmen will bring the Middle Ages into the present in authentic costumes. The Palisadentor not only takes you to a settlement reconstructed according to archaeological findings, but also to a bygone era.
Get to know the craftsmanship of past centuries and experience first-hand the everyday village life of our region around the year 1200. People cooked and dyed at the fires in the huts and baked bread in the ovens. The sheep's wool is spun by hand. Children romp around the village square, where young and old get together in medieval style.
Traveling knights with their squires, noble ladies and their maids are camped near the village. In addition to numerous hands-on activities, a varied program with medieval dances, exciting combat demonstrations and colourful fashion shows awaits you.
