Welcome to the “Sunday at the Nikolai Quarter”! A colorful program awaits you on the of the event. Admission is free for everyone under 18 or with a concession.
Discover the BerlinZEIT! On the 1st and 2nd floors of the Museum Ephraim-Palais, the exhibition offers you an entertaining discovery tour through the centuries and at the same time a comprehensive overview of the sometimes revolutionary events in this city. All the senses are addressed: Feel medieval fabrics, smell your way back to 1740, see the padlock from the original Brandenburg Gate and listen to interviews with people who shaped Berlin at the time of reunification.
This Sunday’s programme is all about writing and calligraphy: workshops and a crash course will introduce keen learners of all ages to the art of calligraphy, the old German Sütterlin script and the world of Chinese characters. Children can also get creative with colourful letters in the printing workshop.

The ‘Sunday at the Nikolai Quarter’
On the first Sunday of every month, we offer a special, wide-ranging programme for everyone at our three museums in the Nikolai Quarter. Families are especially welcome – admission is free for everyone under 18 or with a concession. So look forward to some great offers at the Museum Ephraim-Palais, the Museum Nikolaikirche and the Museum Knoblauchhaus!
Our solidarity pricing model offers free admission for adult visitors with proof of discount, including students, trainees, FSJ, FÖJ and BFD volunteers, people with disabilities, refugees, recipients of citizen’s allowance or ALG I and many more. All others only pay the museum entrance fee and can benefit from our reduced-price combined ticket for all three museums. The extensive action day program is included in the price!
