STEFAN TEMMINGH, MATHIS WOLFER & ENSEMBLE

Masters and Students

Even the greatest masters started out small—and most likely learned from the best. Recorder virtuoso Stefan Temmingh and his former student Mathis Wolfer, himself a faculty member of the Freiburg Musikhochschule by now, are joined by an ensemble of acclaimed artists to explore the idea of musical teaching and learning in the 17th and 18th centuries. Their program includes music of the Bach family, compositions by Arcangelo Corelli, whose works became models throughout Europe, and other pieces.
