Johanna and Aleksandra investigate rhythm as a space of encounter and friction — a way of connecting without erasing difference.
Drawing from Teshkoto, a traditional male folk dance from North Macedonia, and Jenkka, a traditional couple dance from Finland, the artists to reimagine collective movement beyond inherited forms, national identity, and gendered bodies. The work seeks not to preserve but to reshape rhythm through play and experimentation. At its core, it asks how collective movement can form when steps diverge, resonate, and collide — holding space for both resistance and harmony.
"reinkommen" ("coming in") is ada Studio's latest performance series. It gives young choreographers the opportunity to open their work process, invite the audience to come in and to get into conversation.

Johanna Ryynänen is a Berlin based dancer, performer and choreographer from Finland, who graduated from the BA program “Tanz, Kontext, Choreographie” at HZT Berlinin 2022 and with a “Diploma in Bühnentanz” from Tanzakademie Balance1 in 2018. She has collaborated and worked with artists such as Thiago Rosa, Armin Hokmi, Keisuke Sugawara, Mansoor Hosseini amongst others, performing in theaters and festivals in Europe and beyond.
Aleksandra Petrushevska is a dancer and choreographer from North Macedonia, currently based in Berlin, Germany, and working internationally. She first explored dance and choreography in collective, non-formal settings before continuing her training at the Skopje Dance Academy and beginning her professional engagement with Skopje Dance Theater (2015–2018), under the artistic direction of Risima Risimkin. After earning her BA from HZT in Berlin (2019–2022), she began working with Ginevra Panzetti and Enrico Ticconi (“INSEL”/2023-2024) and with Armin Hokmi (“International Dance”/2023 and “Shiraz”/2024-2026).
