The accordion is a true musical jack-of-all-trades. Whether jazz, classical music, Balkan beats, klezmer or folk festivals - the sounds of the accordion always lift the mood!

It looks like a portable mini-piano with keys on one side and buttons on the other. To elicit sounds from it, it needs air: the bellows in the middle are squeezed together and pulled apart again when playing. Don't worry - the accordion is robust, practical and great fun.

And if all musical instruments had a competition for the funniest nicknames, the accordion would have the best chance of winning first place. So it's no wonder that our instrument of the year is so popular!

Come along and celebrate with us!
