Klara Lidén and friends

An evening at KW’s Pogo Bar featuring a live concert and a reading with Klara Lidén’s longtime collaborators Emily Sundblad and Karl Holmqvist.

Moving fluidly between pop, punk, and folk traditions, Emily Sundblad experimentally blends classic song structures with contemporary sounds. The New York based artist, gallerist, painter, and musician works across visual art, performance, and sound, often collapsing distinctions between identities, roles and systems within the art world. Sundblad has collectively contributed sound scores to several of Lidén's video works.

Karl Holmqvist works with language as a writer, performer and installation artist. In his live readings, he rhythmically modulates texts assembled from found material such as pop lyrics, slogans, and literary citations, taking the physicality of voice and language into focus through repetition, rhythm and variation. Based in Berlin, Holmqvist has exhibited internationally, such as at the Venice Biennale and Performa, New York.
