EMMANUEL PAHUD & STUDENTS OF THE BARENBOIM-SAID AKADEMIE

Works by Milhaud, Gounod, Zemlinsky, and Raff

Over the last couple of years, Emmanuel Pahud—principal flutist of the Berliner Philharmoniker and professor at the Barenboim-Said Akademie—has presented several concerts featuring student musicians. This season’s program spotlights a selection of true rarities for wind ensembles, including colorful miniatures by Darius Milhaud and Alexander Zemlinsky as well as veritable wind symphonies by Charles Gounod and his German contemporary Joachim Raff, whose music has received renewed interest in recent years.
