Citadel Sunday

Culture for all

Zitadellensonntag

Zitadellensonntag

The Spandau Citadel is for everyone.

Free culture for all: admission is free on the first Sunday of every month. You can visit the entire Citadel grounds with the Julius Tower, our permanent and special exhibitions as well as the ZAK - Centre for Contemporary Art - in the Old Barracks from 10 am to 5 pm.

At 2 pm we offer a guided tour in English as well as a scenic tour (in medieval costume) in German (€4.50 p.p.).

After Museum Sunday fell victim to the Berlin Senate's cutbacks, the Spandau Cultural Office headed by district councillor Dr. Carola Brückner decided to continue offering free visits to the Citadel on the first Sunday of every month.

With the Zitadellensonntag, the Zitadelle Spandau wants to inspire even more people for the diverse cultural offer, the museums and exhibitions on the cultural island and offers a varied program in addition to free admission.

The Citadel Sunday events can be found in the online events calendar.

Everyone is welcome to go on a discovery tour with their friends and families.
