CHRISTIAN TETZLAFF

Bach: Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin

“Johann Sebastian Bach is a composer with whom I make an effort to grow,” Christian Tetzlaff said a few years ago while working on his latest recording of the solo Sonatas and Partitas, which he has committed to disk several times over the course of his extraordinary career. The Hamburg-born violinist, who will also be heard in a duo with Leif Ove Andsnes for the opening of the season, performs a selection of these groundbreaking works at the Pierre Boulez Saal to celebrate his 60th birthday.
