As a soloist and chamber musician, Alina Ibragimova has long explored historical sound worlds and contemporary music with equal virtuosity. This season, she is joined by her piano partner Cédric Tiberghien to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the death of Ludwig van Beethoven with a complete presentation of the composer’s violin sonatas, performed on gut strings and fortepiano. Their three concerts also serve as a counterpart to those of Antje Weithaas and Dénes Várjon at the beginning of the season, who present the same works on modern instruments.
