The event builds on the success of the two previous editions of the Berlin Card Show held at the Olympic Stadium. In its first year, the event drew approximately 3,500 visitors and 100 exhibitors; by the second year, that number had grown to approximately 5,500 visitors and 150 exhibitors from more than 20 countries. Around 150 exhibitors are expected at the Airport Card Show.
The event deliberately goes beyond a traditional trading card fair. The entire airport grounds will be transformed into an interactive experience zone. A particular highlight is a “raisin bomber” aircraft, which was rented from the German Museum of Technology for the event. Numerous well-known companies and brands will also be on site. eBay Live is the main sponsor, and NFL Germany will have its own booth, handing out popcorn, among other things. Camp David will also be represented at the event. There’s an extensive program of activities for families. In the outdoor area, a food court spanning nearly 2,000 m² will feature a variety of dining options, including Curry 36. For children, there’s a Kids Corner with a Galakto music box that can play various audiobooks and other content.
The event will also feature arts and crafts, painting, and other hands-on activities. Prominent guests from the worlds of sports and entertainment are also expected to attend. Among those participating are Torsten Frings, Mario Basler, Nils Petersen, and Joey Kelly, who will be available for autograph sessions and meet-and-greets with visitors. Influencer Aaron Troschke will also be there.
