For centuries, the longbow (daikyū) was the most important weapon used by Japanese warriors in glorious battles. That is why we are devoting this study evening to the Kyū-dō - the way of the bow and finding out where its origins lie. Together we will take a look at the development of Japanese archery from the battlefield of the samurai to the modern budō discipline.

You can expect a presentation about the Japanese bow (Yumi), a small demonstration and an accompanied inspection of the equipment of a modern Kyūdōka, to see and touch.

Whether you are interested in history, a martial arts enthusiast or simply curious about Japanese culture - we look forward to introducing you to the spirit of Kyūdō!
