Plastic chairs and diesel clouds are a thing of the past! The solar ship "Suncat 46" combines the exclusive ambience of a yacht with environmental friendliness. Let Berlin's highlights pass you by in a relaxed manner and experience the highlights of the cityscape explanations in an exclusive atmosphere.
The tour starts directly at the Oberbaumbrücke in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg or at the Fischerinsel/Historischer Hafen in Berlin Mitte. During the approx. 2.5 h tour we pass all the sights of the city that are visible from the water side and spoil you with information, drinks and snacks.
We pass the impressive Oberbaumbrücke, glide past the world-famous East Side Gallery and drive to our next and only stop at the historical harbour at the Fischerinsel in the Nikolai quarter. Directly after that comes a highlight of the trip, the lock of the Suncat 46 through the Mühlendamm lock.
The next leg of the journey takes the solar boat further west down the Spree. Here the world-famous cultural heritage Museum Island and the government quarter of Berlin with the Reichstag and the Federal Chancellery can be seen. Not much further, the central station, Berlin's architectural showpiece, becomes visible. The catamaran continues westwards to the House of World Cultures, or as Berliners say: to the "pregnant oyster" where the ship turns around and returns to the Solarwaterworld harbour and then to the fishing island.
The usual sound system for city tours does not take place on the ship, you can find out everything worth knowing from audio guides. It is available in German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Russian, Hebrew and Polish. No loud engine noise will disturb you while exploring Berlin on the waterfront. The catamaran is barrier-free.
