The bottomline: Not The Surface Album Releasetour

The Bottomline from Cologne will once again perform their incomparable multi-genre cinematic jazz at b-flat on Sunday, August 30, 2026—this time featuring compositions from their new album *Not The Surface* (released October 23, 2026, on enja & yellowbird records). Following “Forgotten Stars” (2022), two film scores—“Sketches of a Drama” (2021) and “Ode to Art,” 2026, as well as a sound installation with artist Barbara Schmitz-Becker (“Biomorphic Orchestra,” 2023), things are set to get even more intense with the second studio album “Not The Surface” by Franzis Lating (vocalist, pianist, composer) and Johannes Elia Nuß (drummer, electronic musician).
