Izzy Escobar

Sunny In London Tour 2026

Named “Pop Queen of 2026” by Forbes Magazine last fall, New York-based singer Izzy Escobar has recently been turning heads with her exceptional voice.

Even before her first major festival summer, the US newcomer with Cuban-Italian roots will be coming to Germany for the first time to present her latest EP, “Sunny in London” (2025), live exclusively in Cologne and Berlin in April.

A native of Massachusetts, Izzy Escobar’s powerful voice is just the tip of the iceberg: classically trained on the violin, she also spent a lot of time at the piano, which lends her timeless pop sound the necessary grounding and even more depth. Growing up in the tranquil town of Longmeadow, Izzy gained her first stage experience while still in school and eventually moved from the East Coast to the West Coast to study in Los Angeles. Even back then, she reportedly used to tell people at parties that she would “definitely perform at Coachella someday”—partly because she finds desert landscapes so inspiring. She even dedicated her college graduation photo to this festival dream, a goal she’ll be a big step closer to achieving in the summer of 2026 with confirmed outdoor performances at BottleRock in California and the Blessing In Disguise Festival. For her first recording sessions, she wanted to return to New York, “because the East Coast just has its own unique sound,” as Izzy puts it.

In between, she spent an extended period in London, where she mainly connected with young jazz musicians and even performed on stage at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. While in the studio she blended her biggest pop influences—including Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, and Dua Lipa—with jazz and soul elements, the latter played an even bigger role on the recently released acoustic update of the EP “Sunny In London - Acoustic.” On top of that, Izzy’s voice takes center stage even more clearly here, which is why song highlights like “These Eyes” and “Vendetta” sound even more haunting in the minimalist new arrangements. “Damn, she sounds just like Adele,” was already being written in the first major articles about Izzy Escobar—though comparisons to Amy Winehouse are also not uncommon.
