The performance “Some Like It Hot-Wired” catapults you right into the Prohibition era: mix-ups, crime, and live swing music blend into a fast-paced comedy full of action and twists. If you’d like to try your hand at dancing, the Swing Taster is the place for you. In casual introductory classes, you’ll learn your first swing and Charleston steps. In the escape mission “The Rathenau Mystery,” you’ll decipher clues, piece together evidence, and get to the bottom of a historical criminal case.

At the “Mafia, Murder, and Microchips” gaming station, classic board games meet retro computer culture. Especially cool: Several times throughout the evening, a round of “Mafia” kicks off on the legendary Commodore 64. The “On the Line” event shows just how important phones are to gangster movies . If you correctly identify iconic movie scenes, you can win free tickets to the museum. Sit back and let the show begin at the deck chair cinema, featuring gangster and crime films under the open sky.

In the hands-on program “Tatort Museum,” kids and families draw composite sketches of master thieves, decipher secret messages, step into the shoes of notorious crooks for a wanted poster photo, or track down a missing phone.
