For the 2026 Long Night of Museums, the DDR Museum is offering a varied program featuring hands-on activities, short tours, and film screenings centered on the theme of crime in the GDR. The focus is on police work as well as both spectacular and everyday criminal cases. Hands-on activities such as a photo booth and the quiz “Crime in the Crosshairs: Vopo and ABV Investigate” provide insights into criminal investigations. Short tours delve into topics such as banned literature and Western-style jeans, as well as their significance in everyday life in the GDR. The event concludes with the 1987 DEFA film “Interrogation of the Witnesses.”

Early bird ticket from 3 to 16 August 2026: 15,00 € / 12,00 €

Children up to 12 years are free of charge. Please book a free children’s ticket for each child and carry it with you during the Long Night of Museums. Children’s tickets are only available online – there in combination with a paid ticket – as well as at the box offices of all participating museums.
