Filmausschnitt: "Wilma will mehr"

In the late 1990s, Wilma (Fritzi Haberlandt) lives with her husband Alex (Thomas Gerber) in the Lusatia region of Brandenburg. She is a trained electrician, metalworker, and machine operator, and has earned numerous certifications over the years. When she loses her job at the home improvement store and catches her husband with another woman, she makes a bold decision: she leaves her hometown and moves to Vienna to live with her old friend Martin (Stephan Grossmann).

There, in her mid-40s, Wilma begins a new life. Amid cultural differences, unfamiliar challenges, and personal setbacks, she navigates her new daily life with optimism, humor, and determination. “Wilma Wants More” tells a warm-hearted story, with subtle humor, of new beginnings, self-determination, and the courage to start all over again.
