Inge Meysel as a Hamburg housewife who, after decades of marriage, was left by her husband for a younger woman and must now find her way in life on her own: In six one-hour episodes, originally broadcast from January through March 1974 on Sunday evenings on ZDF, the title character endured, in her attempts to make new connections, earn money, and give her life meaning again, she endured a seemingly endless series of humiliations and disappointments.
