How important was Berlin’s oldest surviving church building to people in centuries past? What do the foundation remains of the late Romanesque basilica reveal? What traces did the bombing campaign leave behind? And why is the former church now a museum? You’ll find answers to these and other questions here.
The exhibition “Berlin’s Center”shows the building’s former functions and how the medieval city developed around it. On display are historical artifacts from Berlin churches, objects from the time of Berlin’s founding, and large-scale city models. Various themed stations highlight additional key topics.
