Explore a time capsule on Berlin's Ku'damm! Mammen's original living and working spaces have remained almost unchanged since 1976.

Jeanne Mammen is one of Berlin's best-known painters and graphic artists. When she and her sister Mimi received their first graphic commissions in 1920, they rented a 55 square meter studio in the side wing of a Wilhelminian style building at Ku'damm 29. It remained Jeanne Mammen's home until her death in April 1976. Since then, the living and working spaces have been largely preserved as they were at the time.

During the tour with an expert, you will have the opportunity to explore the authentic location, get closer to the artist and Jeanne Mammen herself and learn a lot about her time. You will learn how this extraordinary woman stood her ground in the 1920s, during the Nazi era, during the Berlin Blockade and in the divided city.
