Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre is an author and journalist, and especially a friend of Udo Lindenberg. For the musician, he is the "Stuckiman". This has been his official stage name for some time and is registered in his passport. Born in Bremen, Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre was, among other things, an editor at the German Rolling Stone and author of the Harald Schmidt Show.
his breakthrough came in 1998, when his debut novel Soloalbum became a bestseller. Stuckrad-Barre was now regarded by many as a "pioneer of new German pop literature". After numerous other publications, his autobiographical novel Panikherz, about drugs, bulimia and the supposed end of his career, was published in 2016. His "savior in need": Udo Lindenberg. Stuckrad-Barre dedicated the book Udo Fröhliche! to his friend ten years ago. in 2026, on the 80th birthday of the panic rocker, it has been updated.
