You can get answers to all these questions with a guided tour of the Komische Oper Berlin at the Schiller Theatre. Enlightened by fascinating theatre anecdotes, amusing looks back in time, and digital glimpses of the future, we take a closer look at what’s happening behind the scenes. Experience the magic of the stage up close!
Before the singers go on stage, they have to go to make-up. But what exactly happens there? Where does the performer’s hair go if the character is to be bald on stage? How long does it take to knot a wig? How do you go from young to old with make-up? And what is actually involved in make-up? This guided tour will give you an insight into the work of the make-up artists of the Komische Oper Berlin, and will take you to the premises of the make-up department.
