What does the body carry when words fail?
This powerful multidisciplinary dance performance explores memory, loss and the things that continue to live within us. Through movement, breath and stillness, experiences that have never fully disappeared emerge — traces of joy, wounds and unspoken pain.
That which cannot be held or released returns, manifesting as a scream, anger or an echo in the body.
On stage, a dense web is woven through dance, voice, text, colour and music. A large net hovers above the performers — an image of what connects us and weighs upon us simultaneously. Their bodies tell stories that words cannot capture, making memory tangible as something shared, alive and deeply physical.
This is an urgent invitation to confront the invisible burdens we carry, both individually and collectively.

Tadhi Alawi is a Tanzanian artist, choreographer, and director of Nantea Dance Company. His visually powerful works address Tanzanian social life and colonial history. As a curator, he leads platforms like Kiota cha Dansi (A Nest of Dance) and collaborated with the Goethe-Institut for the 2024 Haba na Haba International Dance Festival. Alawi, who received an artlink.ch grant in 2022, is also a filmmaker whose dance films have been featured on BBC News.
Samwel Japhet is a Tanzanian dance artist, choreographer, and co-founder of Nantea Dance Company. Following a childhood shaped by homelessness and abuse, he uses the body to reflect social and political realities. In 2021, he received the Dutch Prince Claus Seed Award. From 2021 to 2022, he also co-directed UMOJA, a multidisciplinary artistic exchange program connecting artists from East Africa and Europe.
