The Cloud.Introduction is a choreographic work created by Elizaveta Poliakova in collaboration with Dominic Kiessling that explores instability, resistance, and transformation. The piece unfolds within a constantly shifting environment, where movement of the body emerges in response to pressure, friction, and moments of alignment with the art object Cloud. The performer navigates between states of control and loss of control, generating a physical landscape that is both precise and unpredictable.
The body does not illustrate a narrative, but exposes processes: tension, interruption, and reconfiguration. Movement appears, dissolves, and reemerges in altered forms, creating an ongoing negotiation.
Within these transformations, the piece unfolds as a metaphorical field in which meaning and perception remain open, allowing images, sensations, and associations to surface without settling into a single interpretation. The piece invites the audience into a space of heightened perception, where attention shifts away from a fixed narrative toward the immediacy of transformation.
