Season Opening Festivities

On a late summer weekend, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden opens its doors to celebrate the new season with all the members of the chorus and orchestra, the stage, costume and make-up departments, and curious visitors of all ages. Whether you are an opera or ballet connoisseur or a newcomer to the world of opera and ballet, the programme for the popular Opening Parties offers exciting behindthe- scenes glimpses, information about premieres and rehearsals, lots of music to listen to or make yourself—and, of course, ballet! Giselle: Open Rehearsal With dancers Marina Duarte (Giselle), Meiri Maeda and Shuailun Wu (Peasant Pas de Deux), alongside ballet masters Nadja Saidakova and Yannick Sempey. Piano: Da Yun Choi. Main Stage, 3:30-4:30pm
