Summer begins on the longest day of the year. On June 21, the PLAY! Summer Festival will take place at Uferstudios, featuring creative workshops, a disco, and the final performance of the dance project Dance Upcycling.
Dance Upcycling is a dance project for young people with refugee experience exploring social media, visual culture, and the images that surround us every day. Through movement, improvisation, and collective creation, participants reflect on how we present ourselves online, what we search for in digital spaces, and how these images shape the way we see ourselves and others. The project culminates in an original performance created and performed by the participants themselves.
