La petite Laura is both an invitation and a performance in the form of a contemporary, dance theater piece. Developed over the time span of the last two years, this personal memoir by French-Danish dance artist Laura Guy makes its European premiere following its world premiere in Paraguay (April 2025).
La petite Laura weaves movement and sound into emotionally familiar vignettes—humanistic shorts that guide the audience to reflect on their own lives. Childhood innocence and adult complexities intertwine, creating a journey through past and present. With her signature physicality, Laura explores the tender terrain of healing, identity, and l'âme d'enfant - the childlike essence within us.
The concept allows for a world where joy and sorrow coexist in playful conversation. The evening concludes with a Q&A about the creative process.
