CACOS (Shards) understands everyday experience as a constant interruption and reorganization of consciousness, inspired by the cut-up technique, a literary method in which texts are cut up and randomly reorganized.
But what happens if the body becomes the site of the cut? What passes through the space of a crack?
CACOS invites a game of improvisation between sound, silence, movement and stillness. By cutting into the present, it opens temporal fissures through which other dimensions can emerge.
“Anything shines under the Sun Even a rough shard Of crowned glass, a little scratched (...) The satellites, the drones, NASA up above Will see this thing shine Fragments of what we are looking for grout” — Translation of an excerpt from Quase, by Tatiana Nascimento,“Lençóis” by Luedji Luna (2020).
