b12 participants work with a choreographer to research and develop their own dance piece – from the initial idea right through to the final performance.

In her performance project, Joy Alpuerto Ritter explores different notions of beauty. Who defines it, and what significance do we attach to it in our lives? Through carefully crafted choreography, alongside improvisation and composition exercises, the participants explore the emotional, cultural and physical facets of beauty – Beauty or Beast? Or Beautiful Beast?

In Rainer Behr’s piece, the time loop serves as a starting point for breaking through repetition through risk and experimentation. A laboratory of forgetting, in order to remember anew – where taking risks is more important than certainty.
