YULIANNA AVDEEVA

Piano Works by Boulez, Ravel, Fujikura, and Chopin

Since winning the Chopin Competition more than 15 years ago, Yulianna Avdeeva has charted an impressive artistic path that has taken her to the world’s most prestigious concert halls. She returns to the Pierre Boulez Saal, where she made her debut in 2018, with two different programs this season. The first, presenting music by Maurice Ravel, Pierre Boulez, and the German premiere of a new work by Dai Fujikura, shines a spotlight on the 20th and 21st centuries—while Chopin’s Etudes also harken back to the pianist’s musical roots.
