WILLIAM YOUN

Piano Works by Schubert, Hahn, Liszt, and others

Known for his thoughtful and inventive programming, pianist William Youn opens his recital with two works that span 400 years of music history—yet share a common theme. He juxtaposes these with Schubert’s unfinished “Reliquie” Sonata and a selection from Reynaldo Hahn’s Le Rossignol éperdu, a cycle of 53 short “musical poems” published in 1913. Liszt’s monumental B-minor Sonata closes the program.
