His melodic bedroom pop blends his love for melancholic 1980s dance ballads with a contemporary analog aesthetic. His self-produced debut EP, *Big Talk Big Party* (2024), was created during the isolation of the pandemic and combines classic Japanese drum machines, deeply personal lyrics, and piano, synthesizer, and violin. Early songwriting experiments led him to music conservatories in Sydney and Toronto, where he played in small clubs. Today he divides his time between Berlin and Bankstown and wows audiences with his live shows in Berlin, Munich, and Sydney, among other places, as well as at festivals.AVA JOEAt just 22 years old, it may seem unusual at first that Ava Joe an “old soul”—but her passion for storytelling and her ability to transform personal experiences into romantic snapshots speak for themselves.
