Long Night of Museums 2026

The Documentation Centre for Displacement, Expulsion and Reconciliation welcomes visitors on 29 August from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. as part of the Long Night of Museums 2026, this year’s theme “Crime”.
Discover a unique place of remembrance, education and dialogue through a diverse programme of short guided tours, readings, performances, creative activities and live music. Join quiz tours, workshops on family history research, encounter mystical stilt-walkers, and music ranging from electronic and classical to traditional sounds throughout the evening. There is something for everyone to explore.
The theme of “Crime” is reflected in many different ways throughout the programme: through moving personal stories, gripping crime-fiction readings, artistic performances, thematic tours and an opportunity to decipher Sütterlin handwriting. Visitors can also look forward to a special culinary experience featuring specialities from Kreuzberger Himmel.
