JULIA HAMOS

Piano Works by Beethoven, Bartók, Chopin, and others

Julia Hamos made her Pierre Boulez Saal debut in 2023 with György Ligeti’s Piano Concerto and two years later performed works by György Kurtág in her first solo recital here. Returning this season, the Hungarian-American pianist once again presents music from her family’s homeland, including folk song arrangements by Béla Bartók. The young artist, who studied with Sir András Schiff at the Barenboim-Said Akademie and in recent years has won international acclaim, also performs Beethoven’s early E flat–major Sonata and Chopin’s Fantasy in F minor.
