Fürchte dich… nicht!

Das „MarienVokalconsort“ und Gebärdenschauspieler Jan Sell (Montage) – Das „MarienVokalconsort“ und Gebärdenschauspieler Jan Sell (Montage)

A musical and theatrical performance
The ‘MarienVokalconsort’ and sign language performer Jan Sell invite you to experience sound, space and movement in a new way.
What do we perceive in a church? Many people associate it with the sound of the organ, choral singing or prayer. But how do hearing-impaired people experience such a place? ‘Fürchte dich … nicht’ (‘Fear … not!’) invites you to discover different forms of perception.
The ‘MarienVokalconsort’ explores the space through music, whilst sign language actor Jan Sell does so through poetic movements. The focus is on works by Johann Crüger and Johann Sebastian Bach on the themes of birth, praise, mourning and consolation. This musical and theatrical performance brings together sound, movement and space, encouraging both deaf and hearing people to engage with one another and rethink the boundaries of perception.
Artistic Directors: Marie-Louise Schneider and Steffen Tast
Three concerts for the price of two
With our ‘3 for 2’ offer, you can choose three concerts from the programme accompanying the Chorus exhibition and pay for just two tickets. The musical line-up ranges from rap to oratorio, from soundscapes to orchestral music, from experimental sounds to catchy tunes. Secure your free concert now!
Simply visit our ticket shop and add your chosen concerts to your basket. But please note: the offer applies to three different concerts, not to three tickets for the same concert. It ends when only two concerts remain. It pays to be quick!
