Distant Bells, from Brno in the Czech Republic, are eight passionate musicians who have taken on this task – with success. The eight-piece band covers Pink Floyd with a variety of instruments played live: three guitars, six vocals, two keyboards, a bass, drums and saxophone. For Distant Bells, live playing means recreating the vintage sound as faithfully as possible. At their shows you’ll see period-correct gear, instruments and effects that bring back the unmistakable sonic atmosphere of the 1970s. Their repertoire now includes over 80 Pink Floyd songs – from the early Syd Barrett era, through all studio albums, to selected pieces from David Gilmour’s solo career. Each concert brings a fresh setlist, combining iconic hits with lesser-known art rock gems.
