Celebrating 10 Years: Works by Boulez, Andre, Manoury, and others

It has been ten years since the Pierre Boulez Saal first opened its doors in March 2017! We celebrate our birthday by bringing together musicians and music that have shaped the hall’s artistic identity over the past decade. In a very special program, Jörg Widmann, Michael Barenboim, Michael Wendeberg, and Ben Goldscheider perform contemporary works for solo instruments and live electronics, including Pierre Boulez’s groundbreaking Anthèmes 2 and Philippe Manoury’s Das wohlpräparierte Klavier, which was premiered here by Daniel Barenboim in 2021. Domen Marinčič, who made his debut in the hall last season, provides a historical counterpoint with solo works for viola da gamba.
