Cassie Kinoshi & Stephan Stadtfeld Large Ensemble

Berlin-based saxophonist and composer Cassie Kinoshi is equally at home in contemporary classical music, jazz and improvisation. Our KHO trumpeter Stephan Stadtfeld leads the 15-piece large ensemble and shares her curiosity for cross-genre projects. Together, musicians from Berlin’s jazz scene and the Konzerthaus Orchestra celebrate the sonic diversity and warmth of large ensembles and the freedom of improvisation. A work by Cassie Kinoshi will receive its world premiere.In our series “Berlin Tracks – Music of the City at the Konzerthaus,” musicians and ensembles from Berlin come together to experimentally blend classical Western music from various centuries with styles that all call this city home – from voguing to strings and synthesizers to jazz. “Berlin Tracks” aims to inspire, connect communities, and invite audiences to follow different musical paths that together make up the soundtrack of our city.
