Scharfenberg Island in the middle of Lake Tegel only about 10 permanent inhabitants. The island is home to the Schulfarm Insel Scharfenberg, a high school and boarding school. The car ferry that connects the mainland with the island mainly transports the approximately 400 students and their teachers. Strangers are not allowed to come to the island just like that and are asked by the ferryman about their destination.
