James-Simon-Park

Sonniges Wetter in Berlin

People are enjoying a sunny afternoon in James-Simon-Park on the banks of the Spree with the Berlin Cathedral in the background.

Located directly on the banks of the Spree River, James-Simon-Park in Berlin-Mitte offers space to relax against a historical backdrop.

Right in the middle of the city, surrounded by sights such as Museum Island and Hackescher Markt, lies James-Simon-Park. Its location in the heart of the city makes it an ideal place for a break from sightseeing or work as well as a great spot to meet friends. As the Spree River flows by, many Berliners and tourists enjoy the historic setting in the summer. Numerous trees on the lawn provide shady spots. The park is named after James Simon, a Berlin entrepreneur and the most important patron of the arts in 19th-century Berlin. Monbijoupark, which in addition to its green space also has an outdoor swimming pool for children, is located in the immediate vicinity.

Please note: To ensure that this popular place remains livable and worth visiting for residents and visitors, please respect the rules of peaceful coexistence in the neighborhood, keep the park clean, and maintain a reasonable volume, especially in the evening hours.
