Berlin corona incidence below 300

Corona-Test

The incidence of corona has continued to fall in Berlin. On Tuesday, the value was 295.5.

This means that Berlin's incidence is still well below the national average of 381.5. The federal states of Thuringia and Hamburg have lower figures. According to the Berlin Senate's situation report, 2526 new infections were reported on Tuesday. There were no further deaths. Since only PCR tests are included in the statistics, experts assume that the number of unreported cases remains high.

Hospitalisation rate and occupancy of intensive care beds remain high

Meanwhile, both the hospitalisation rate and the occupancy of intensive care beds by Covid 19 patients are stagnating. 18.5 persons per 100,000 inhabitants were admitted to hospital with a Corona infection within the last seven days. Around 6 per cent of intensive care beds are occupied by Covid 19 cases.
