"Due to the continued high number of cases and growing demand in its first year of operation, the Federal Police contact point for the protection of women against violence at Berlin's Ostbahnhof will be extended for a further two years," the Federal Police announced. The service is part of a pilot project of the Federal Ministry of the Interior.

Offer has existed since August 2024

The contact point has been at Ostbahnhof since August 2024. As part of the police's victim protection program, trained staff provide support to all women who have experienced violence or feel threatened. Victims receive help around the clock and have the opportunity to file a complaint.
