In order to drive forward Berlin's digital transformation, the Senate Chancellery is initiating a pilot project to develop and test digital solutions for Berlin's administration.
According to a press release from the Berlin Senate Chancellery, the aim of the City Challenge is to find innovative ways to create a modern, efficient and citizen-oriented administration. To achieve this goal, the state of Berlin wants to work together with start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as scientific and research institutions.
In an innovation competition, creative people can apply with proposed solutions for two challenges in Berlin's administration. On the one hand, solutions are being sought for the so-called digital award preparation. The competition is also looking for ideas for a digital hall book for sports facility management and allocation. The best ideas will be implemented as pilot projects in close cooperation with the relevant authorities.
